The Hitachi HS-1 is a bookshelf loudspeaker model produced by Hitachi between 1979 and 1981. It features a die-cast aluminum cabinet, contributing to its lightweight yet sturdy construction. The speaker system employs a 2-way bass reflex design and includes two drivers: a 100 mm cone woofer for low frequencies and a 25 mm titanium-coated dome tweeter for high frequencies. It has a power handling capacity of 50 W (continuous) and 80 W (maximum), with an efficiency rating of 85 dB/W at a distance of 1 meter. The frequency response ranges from 50 Hz to 20 kHz, with a crossover frequency set at 2,700 Hz. With a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms, the HS-1 is designed for use in various audio setups.
