The Pioneer CT-F 700 is a cassette tape deck manufactured between 1978 and 1979 in Japan. This model features a classic silver finish and a traditional front-loading design with the cassette compartment located on the left side. It is equipped with 2 audio heads, including one erase head and one record/playback head, and uses a single-capstan, belt-driven transport mechanism. The deck includes a mechanical 3-digit tape counter, memory stop functionality, and the ability to switch between tape types, accommodating normal, chrome, and ferro-chrome tapes. The device has mechanical transport controls and uses analog needle VU meters for signal level indication. The Dolby-B noise reduction system is incorporated to minimize tape hiss, particularly on high-frequency recordings. For added versatility, the CT-F 700 features two microphone inputs for live recording, as well as standard RCA connections for playback and recording from other audio components. The unit's dimensions are 420 x 187 x 304 mm and it weighs approximately 8.5 kg, with a power consumption of 44 watts.
