The Akai AP-001, made in Japan in 1978, is a highly regarded turntable featuring a durable build with no cheap plastic components. This model stands out as it is the rare black version of the belt drive turntable. It is equipped with a superb tonearm that includes dynamic anti-skating technology, which automatically adjusts without the need for manual dials. The turntable is semi-automatic, stopping the record at the end of play, offering convenience for users. It also allows for a range of cartridge options due to its removable headshell. Recently serviced, it comes with a new stylus and is fully set up for optimal playback.
