The AKG K500 is an over-ear, open-back headphone designed for home and studio use. It features a dynamic driver with a diameter of 40mm, providing a frequency response range of 15Hz to 27kHz. The headphones are known for their lightweight design, weighing only 230g without the cable. They come with replaceable cloth pads, which offer comfort for extended listening sessions. The K500 has a nominal power rating of 200mW and an impedance of 120Ω, with a sensitivity of 94dB at 1mW. The listening experience it provides is clear and uncoloured, although it has been noted to lack bass and sub-bass.
