The Canton Ergo SC-S is a 2 1/2-way bass reflex floorstanding loudspeaker that was manufactured from 1992 to 1996 in Germany. It features a black, white, beech, cherry, or oak finish and has dimensions of 215 x 900 x 247 mm (W x H x D), with a weight of approximately 17 kg. The original price was around 3000 DM. The speaker incorporates a low frequency driver and a low-midrange driver, both measuring 180 mm, alongside a 25 mm aluminium-manganese dome tweeter. It has a power handling capacity of 140 / 250 watts (23.7 / 31.6V rms) and an efficiency rating of 87.5 dB at 1 watt and 1 meter. It can reproduce frequencies ranging from 20 Hz to 30,000 Hz with transitional ranges at 300 Hz and 3500 Hz. The nominal impedance of the speaker is 4 Ohm, and it includes a special SC module for active bass equalization. Other models in the same series include the Ergo SC-L, and the successor model is the Ergo RC-S.
