The C.E.C. PH 53 is a phono preamplifier designed for both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. It features a fully equipped design with DIP switches that allow for precise adjustments tailored to different cartridge characteristics. It employs innovative Current Injection technology, which eliminates the need for a negative feedback loop, thus preventing dynamic distortion and promoting superior sound quality. The PH 53 supports balanced XLR input for MC cartridges and unbalanced RCA inputs for MM or MC cartridges, enabling versatile connectivity. It includes adjustable input impedance (100Ω to 1kΩ for MC, fixed at 47kΩ for MM) and variable capacitance settings for MM cartridges (47pF to 884pF). With a built-in RIAA equalization that incorporates a Neumann extension, it optimizes frequency response up to 50kHz, providing high-fidelity sound reproduction. Additionally, the PH 53 is equipped with a subsonic filter to mitigate unwanted low-frequency noise that could compromise sound clarity. The construction is of high quality, ensuring durability and performance. Power consumption is rated at 10W, with dimensions of 217.5mm (W) x 257mm (D) x 57mm (H) and a weight of 2kg, finished in silver.
