The Denon PMA-701 is a pre-main amplifier that was manufactured in 1978 in Japan. It features a DC-DC pure complimentary service OCL circuit and is equipped with a newly developed PCC (Phono Crosstalk Canceler) system, designed to enhance the sound quality from record players by reducing crosstalk. Its power amplifier section utilizes a low-impedance power supply circuit alongside advanced power transistors with double epitaxial and triple diffusion structures. The amplifier has built-in protection circuits to safeguard speakers against errors and accidents, and it employs a unique relay structure to minimize any effect on sound quality. The separation of circuits further aids in reducing interference. With a compact design, the PMA-701 has dimensions of 430 x 147 x 321 mm and weighs about 13 kg. It supports various connections, including multiple inputs and outputs for different audio devices.
