The Sub 500 is the ideal addition for ambitious multi-channel systems where deep and dynamic sub-bass is highly valued and authentic Dynaudio sound quality is sought after.
Featuring a 12" woofer with a die-cast aluminum frame, the Sub 500 is integrated into a metal baffle within a sealed cabinet. The driver is mounted to the cabinet following Dynaudio's established design principles. This involves a multi-layered sandwich construction where a thick, stiff metal baffle is fused to the MDF enclosure using a sheet of special dampening material. This structure effectively eliminates unwanted resonance and provides an optimal foundation to enhance the fast and powerful transient signals from the driver.
The Sub 500 is powered by a 250 Watt amplifier that utilizes Dynaudio's innovative CEC (Cone Excursion Control) technology. It also features full remote control operation for all adjustments, including level, phase, crossover frequency, extended bass mode, and four individual memory presets. The back panel is equipped with both RCA and XLR inputs and outputs, along with a master/slave switch and a memory protect switch.
Additionally, the subwoofer driver can be concealed from view using the elegantly sculpted removable black fabric grill, which is attached to the baffle via concealed magnets.
