The ES 100 K kit represents a pinnacle of audio engineering with its ultra-compact design, tailored to deliver high sound pressure levels with exceptional sensitivity, specifically noted at 90 dB (2.83 V/1 m), despite its small size. Crafted in France, this system encompasses a pair of 100 mm (4") drivers featuring Kevlar® membranes. These membranes are notably part of the K2 Power line, distinguished by their iconic yellow hue, and are engineered to achieve a balanced combination of lightness, rigidity, and damping. This design philosophy ensures dynamic sound reproduction with remarkable clarity and detail.
At the heart of the kit's design, the cone features an ogive, a structural element aimed at enhancing sound dispersion within a car's interior, ensuring a rich and enveloping audio experience. For high-frequency sounds, the kit relies on two TKM 20 mm tweeters. These tweeters, crafted from aramid fibers, employ an inverted dome structure with a unique "M" shaped profile. This design innovation aids in precisely controlling deformations and reducing distortion, thereby maintaining sound integrity even at high frequencies.
The tweeters are equipped with advanced, compact filters that facilitate easy installation. A variety of mounting accessories are included, allowing for installation in the vehicle's original fittings, or alternatively, in angled or recessed supports, contributing to their adaptability across various vehicle configurations and compartment layouts. The entire kit, including each of its components, has been strategically dimensioned to maintain a compact and adaptable form, catering to all aesthetic and spatial requirements within a vehicle's passenger compartment.
Moreover, the ES 100 K kit comes complete with aluminum and mesh grilles, providing not only protection but also a sleek, finished appearance. Despite its premium quality and innovative design, the kit is, regrettably, no longer available for purchase.
