The Goodmans Havant SL is a 3-way bass-reflex loudspeaker designed for bookshelf placement. Manufactured in England between 1973 and 1977, this model features a warm and bright sound profile suitable for various music genres, including jazz, blues, and vocals. Its compact dimensions of 48 cm in height, 26 cm in width, and 25 cm in depth make it ideal for smaller rooms. The speaker has a maximum power handling of 20 watts RMS and boasts a frequency response range of 45 Hz to 22 kHz, ensuring a robust bass and clear midrange and treble frequencies. The unit is finished in walnut veneer, which remains in good condition, reflecting quality craftsmanship. It accepts a pair of banana jacks for speaker connection. The original grille fabric and badges are intact, showcasing the vintage aesthetic. This speaker is considered a great match for period amplifiers and can deliver an impressive stereo sound stage even at lower listening volumes.
