The Heco Sound Master B 220 is a vintage loudspeaker model manufactured by Heco Hennel & Co KG, approximately in 1967-1968 in Germany. This speaker system features an aesthetically pleasing design with finishes available in walnut natural, Rio rosewood, and white, making it suitable for various interior styles. Its dimensions are 500 mm in width, 250 mm in height, and 220 mm in depth, with a gross volume of 27.5 liters. Weighing 12 kg, this speaker offers a blend of substantial audio performance and manageable size. Technical specifications include a chassis that consists of three 130 mm woofers and a single tweeter. It has a nominal power handling capacity of 30 W and it can handle music up to a similarly rated power level. The efficiency of the speaker allows it to produce sound with a frequency response range from 30 Hz up to 25 kHz, catering to a broad spectrum of audio frequencies. With a transient response designed for systems with multiple drivers, it achieves an impedance of 4 Ohm. It is part of a lineage with successors, specifically the B 230/8 which is seen as an evolution of the B 220 model. Originally priced around 346 DM for standard wood finish and approximately 366 DM for rosewood, it reflects the quality and craftsmanship of its time.
