The Heco Superior 730 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker designed for high-quality audio performance. Manufactured in Schmitten/Taunus from approximately 1988 to the early 1990s, it features a stylish walnut or oak veneer finish, available in several colors including black and white. The dimensions of the speaker are 840 mm in height, 240 mm in width, and 266 mm in depth, with a weight of about 19 kg per unit. The design incorporates two 175 mm woofers made of coated paper with rubber surrounds, a 105 mm polypropylene midrange driver, and a 19 mm aluminum manganese dome tweeter. The speaker has a nominal power handling of 120W and a musical power handling of 160W, with an efficiency rating of 88 dB at 1W and 1m. It offers a wide frequency response range from 30 Hz to 35 kHz, with crossover frequencies set at 250 Hz and 2,500 Hz. The impedance is rated at 4 Ohms, making it compatible with a variety of audio systems. Originally priced around 1900 DM per pair, the Superior 730 is recognized for its robust construction and high-performance capabilities, belonging to the broader Superior series which includes models such as the Superior 630, 830, and 930.
