The Hitachi D-4500 is a cassette tape deck manufactured between 1973 and 1976, primarily designed for the Japanese market. It features a robust silver and black exterior with a stylish wooden cabinet. This model utilizes a unique combination/sandwich head configuration, which was a significant innovation at the time, setting a standard for 3-head cassette decks. The device is equipped with a 3-motor dual-capstan mechanism, where one motor is dedicated to the capstan, while the other two are used for fast winding.
