The Jamo CBR 1704 is a 4-way floorstanding loudspeaker that was manufactured between 1984 and 1986 in Denmark. It features a bass reflex design known as CBR (Center Bass Reflex). The speaker is equipped with a robust chassis that includes a 325 mm woofer, a 175 mm bass-midrange driver, a 50 mm dome midrange driver, and a 25 mm dome tweeter. With a nominal power handling of 170 watts and a peak music power handling of 250 watts, the CBR 1704 offers an impressive efficiency rating of 95.2 dB at 1W/1m. It has a wide frequency response of 22 Hz to 22 kHz, with transitional ranges occurring at 350 Hz, 1,500 Hz, and 5,500 Hz. The speaker is designed with an 8 Ohm impedance and offers additional features such as overload protection for the tweeter and midrange driver, as well as level adjustments for treble and midrange. The cabinet, available in walnut, rosewood, or stained black, measures 810 mm in height, 425 mm in width, and 365 mm in depth, with a weight of 31 kg. The original price was approximately 990 DM.
