The JBL L 200 B is a two-way, floor-standing speaker system developed in the mid-1970s, designed based on professional studio monitor standards. It features a robust low-frequency response achieved through a 38 cm cone woofer model 136A. This woofer incorporates a die-cast mass control ring attached to the voice coil to ensure reliable piston motion and stable operation even under high amplitude conditions. In addition, the speaker system includes a high-frequency horn unit, which combines the LE85 driver with the HL91 horn lens. The LE85 driver is equipped with an ultra-thin aluminum foil diaphragm and an Alnico V magnet, providing high efficiency and excellent transient response. This horn design offers a horizontal dispersion of 90 degrees and a vertical dispersion of 45 degrees, creating mid-range sound with a rich presence. The enclosure of the L 200 B features a sloped front panel design, akin to that of the L300 model, and is fitted with an air foam front grille that enhances sound transparency. The system comes in four color variations, making it a visually appealing addition to audio setups. Key specifications include a crossover frequency of 800Hz, an impedance rating of 8 Ω, and a sound pressure level of 93 dB. It can handle a continuous program input of up to 150W. The external dimensions of the speaker are 606 mm in width, 832 mm in height, and 540 mm in depth, and it weighs approximately 59 kg.
