The JBL LS60 is a floorstanding loudspeaker designed to feature a blend of traditional and modern engineering techniques. Its unique design incorporates a three-and-a-half-way system with two 6.5-inch woofers providing low-frequency response in a reflex enclosure. The lower woofer operates up to 400Hz with a 6dB/octave roll-off, while the upper woofer extends up to 2.6kHz, transitioning to a 2-inch titanium compression driver loaded with a biradial horn. The high frequencies are handled by a 0.75-inch polyester-film ring-radiator tweeter, engaging at 7kHz and utilizing JBL's Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal waveguide. The LS60 boasts a frequency response claimed at 40Hz-40kHz, ±3dB, and has an overall sensitivity rating of 87dB/2.83V/m. It is designed for a nominal impedance of 6 ohms and can be biwired or biamped, with power recommendations suggesting no more than 150W per channel. The speaker features elegant construction with curved side panels, a rosewood veneer finish, and a black leather-like material on the front and top. At 39.5 inches in height, 8.75 inches in width, and 13.5 inches in depth, the LS60 weighs 59 pounds. While it provides robust low-end performance, the overall sound is described as refined and neutral, making it suitable for both music and home theater setups.
