The JVC PC-6 is a 3-piece boombox that was a standout model in the early 1980s. Known as the Victor PC-7 in Japan, this system is recognized for its impressive audio capabilities. The PC-6 features larger speakers with dedicated tweeters, offering enhanced sound quality compared to its predecessor, the PC-5. Key components of the system include the PC-D3 cassette deck, a PC-R3 amp/tuner, and a GE-3 graphic equalizer with five frequency bands (63Hz, 250Hz, 1kHz, 4kHz, and 16kHz). The included speakers are 271mm tall and 155mm wide and contain 12cm woofers along with 5cm tweeters. In comparison, the PC-5’s speakers feature smaller 10cm full-range drivers. The system also offers options like the BP-12K rechargeable battery pack and the CN-332 car adapter. The PC-6W is the multi-voltage version, while the PC-6WH caters specifically to a 240V requirement for the UK market.
