The KEF Chorale is a vintage two-way bookshelf speaker system that was introduced in 1973. It features a closed box enclosure design, measuring 470 x 280 x 220 mm (18.5 x 11 x 8.7 inches) and weighing 16 kg per pair. The system includes original components such as the T27 tweeter and B200 bass-midrange units, which contribute to its audio performance. The speakers have been refurbished to include new Mundorf electrolytic capacitors in the crossovers, along with re-covered grille frames, waxed cabinets, and upgraded gold-plated binding posts. The KEF Chorale has an input impedance of 8 ohms and can handle rated maximum power of 25W program, ideally paired with amplifiers delivering between 15-25 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The speakers can produce frequencies ranging from 35Hz up to 40,000Hz, with a resonance frequency of 55Hz. They come with a black cloth grille and are known for their distinctive drive units designated as B200 (SP1014) and T27 (SP1032).
