The Luxman C-06a is a control amplifier manufactured by Luxman from 1990 to 1994 in Japan, featuring a champagne color. It is designed to optimize sound quality through its advanced circuitry and construction. The amplifier employs an all-stage operational amplifier circuit to achieve ideal balance operation and eliminate harmful phase shift in high frequencies. It incorporates a high-precision Ultimate attenuator, which is a 4-row 32-point fixed resistance type attenuator capable of handling balanced inputs with excellent L/R separation to minimize crosstalk. The C-06a’s power supply section utilizes large-capacity toroidal transformers that are isolated for each channel to reduce electromagnetic interference. Discrete components are used throughout the regulator circuit to suppress noise, thereby enhancing playback quality. Additionally, the model allows for various output configurations, including coaxial and balanced outputs, which can be applied in a monaural bridge connection for increased versatility. The use of high-quality materials such as PC-OCC wiring and 6N high-purity wire further supports the integrative sound reproduction. Dimension-wise, the amplifier measures 444mm in width, 120mm in height, and 414mm in depth, weighing 11kg. It originally retailed for approximately 380,000 yen in Japan.
