The Luxman C-300 is a stereo preamplifier that was manufactured from 1980 to 1983 in Japan. It is part of the Duo-Beta Exquisite Separates series and is designed to enhance audio quality while minimizing distortion. The C-300 employs a duo-beta plusX circuit which optimizes sound quality without excessive negative feedback (NFB), resulting in improved transient sound performance. The preamplifier features precision components including high-gain low-noise dual FETs and a DC servo circuit that stabilizes DC output without the use of output capacitors. This approach enhances audio clarity and eliminates sound coloration. The C-300 provides a variety of inputs, including multiple phono connections, tuner, and auxiliary, with selectable impedance options for both MM and MC cartridges. Its tone control features frequency shift types for bass and treble adjustments. The unit is also equipped with dual tape monitoring and dubbing features, which adds to its versatility in audio management. Constructed with a silver front panel and a black cabinet, it weighs 9 kg and has dimensions of 478 x 163 x 384 mm (WxHxD). Power consumption is rated at 25 W.
