FiiO Launches FT7 Planar Headphones with Ultra-Thin 1µm Membrane

FiiO continues to push the boundaries of HiFi equipment with the introduction of their latest flagship, the FT7 planar headphones. Building on the success of the FT3 and FT5 models, the FT7 aims to elevate the listening experience with innovative technology and premium materials.

At the heart of the FT7 is a groundbreaking 1 µm thick membrane, a significant reduction from the previous 6 µm in the FT5. This ultra-thin diaphragm is supported by a magnetostatic design, featuring 106mm planar drivers and 18 high-performance N52 neodymium magnets on each side. The delicate membrane, thinner than many bacteria, ensures swift and nuanced sound reproduction, promising a more natural and detailed audio experience.

The craftsmanship of the FT7 is evident in its elegant design. The ear cups are adorned with zebrawood grilles, offering a visually striking contrast to the soft lambskin and suede earpads that prioritize comfort during extended listening sessions. Additionally, the headphones are equipped with a high-purity copper cable, likely offering both symmetric and asymmetric connections to ensure compatibility with a wide range of audio sources.

Performance meets aesthetics with the FT7's liquid nitrogen-frozen single crystal copper cable and a custom-designed linen case sourced from Peru's Yauli region. Weighing in at 427 grams, the FT7 maintains a lightweight profile without compromising on build quality.
