JBL Tour One 3 Debuts at CES 2025: Advanced Wireless Features Unveiled

JBL has introduced the latest addition to its wireless headphone lineup, the Tour One 3, during CES 2025. These full-size headphones stand out with the integrated Smart Tx transmitter, enabling seamless connections to devices lacking a wireless interface. This transmitter supports both LE Audio and Auracast technologies, marking the Tour One 3 as the first commercial product to offer dual standard compatibility.

Equipped with 40mm drivers featuring mica domes, the Tour One 3 delivers a balanced sound profile suitable for various music genres. The headphones support multiple codecs, including SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3, ensuring high-quality audio transmission. For those who prefer a wired connection, the USB-C port provides a reliable alternative. Additionally, JBL Spatial 360 technology enhances the listening experience by tracking head movements in space, offering an immersive audio environment.

Active noise cancellation is handled by the True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 system, which utilizes eight microphones and AI-driven algorithms to effectively eliminate background noise and maintain clear voice communication during calls. While the ANC excels at filtering out high-frequency sounds and ambient noises like fan hums, it shows some limitations with lower frequencies.

Comfort during extended use is achieved through well-padded ear cups, though there is room for improvement in the cushioning material. Battery performance is impressive, boasting nearly 49 hours of continuous playback in ANC mode after a quick 1 hour and 46-minute charge. The Tour One 3 is priced at $400 with the Smart Tx transmitter and $350 without, positioning it competitively in the premium headphone market.
