Kinera Imperial Unveils ThorKing: An 11-Driver In-Ear Marvel
Kinera Imperial has announced the release of their latest flagship in-ear headphones, the ThorKing. This new model features an impressive configuration of 11 drivers per ear, housed in uniquely designed brass shells adorned with the model's name.
The ThorKing integrates a hybrid driver setup consisting of one dynamic driver, six balanced armature drivers, and four electrostatic drivers. This combination aims to deliver a rich and detailed sound signature across a wide frequency range.
With a frequency response spanning from 5 Hz to 50,000 Hz, the ThorKing promises to reproduce music with exceptional clarity and depth. The headphones have an impedance of 14.7 Ω and a sensitivity of 110 dB, making them suitable for use with a variety of audio sources.
A notable aspect of the ThorKing is its design inspiration drawn from Nordic mythology, specifically Thor's legendary battles. The fusion of classic and modern elements results in a creative and intricate aesthetic. The composite metal relief and precious metal housing contribute to a sense of delicacy and craftsmanship.
Included with the ThorKing is a detachable cable featuring 2-pin 0.78 mm connectors and a 4.4 mm plug, allowing for compatibility with balanced audio outputs and easy cable upgrades.
Priced at $2,499 USD, the ThorKing positions itself in the high-end segment of the audiophile market. The headphones are set to launch on February 18th, and their availability in certain regions, including Russia, remains unconfirmed.
