The HP 300 SE distinguishes itself from its predecessor, the HP 300 MK2, through several significant developments. A major enhancement is its external power supply, which employs cutting-edge technology to ensure refined power delivery. The improved amplifier circuitry offers three stages of gain amplification, complemented by XLR outputs with specialized transformers, all housed in a refined casing. Central to its engineering is the external mains transformer, optimized with advanced filter characteristics.
