The Onkyo D-11 X is a bookshelf loudspeaker designed primarily for home audio setups. Manufactured between 1986 and 1987 in Japan, this loudspeaker is characterized by its 3-way, 3-speaker air suspension system. It utilizes a combination of high-quality materials in its development, featuring a pure cross carbon woofer and a 2.5 cm dome-type tweeter constructed with a carbide titanium diaphragm. Additionally, the D-11 X includes a ceramic 1.6 cm super tweeter for enhanced high-frequency response. The loudspeaker is designed with an anti-magnetic structure to eliminate interference and has a rigid cabinet with round baffle specifications that provide stability and minimal vibration. The cabinet measures 268 mm in width, 480 mm in height, and 262 mm in depth, and has an internal volume of 22.5 liters. The system has a frequency response range from 38 Hz to 45 kHz, making it capable of delivering deep lows and clear highs. The crossover frequencies are set at 1500 Hz and 10,000 Hz, accommodating a wide range of audio signals. With a maximum input power of 140W (EIAJ) and an impedance of 6 Ω, the D-11 X produces an output sound pressure of 90 dB/W/m, making it a robust choice for audio enthusiasts. The original price was approximately 390 DM per unit.
