The Onkyo M-5000R is a stereo power amplifier designed for high-performance audio applications. It delivers 80 watts into 8-ohms, and 150 watts into 4-ohms, catering to a wide range of speaker applications. It features a Quad Push-Pull Amplification Design with 3-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry for improved efficiency and reduced distortion. The Advanced Wide Range Amplifier Technology (AWRAT) utilized in the M-5000R helps enhance audio quality through several proprietary technologies. The Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry (DIDRC) improves linearity and reduces noise, ensuring clearer sound reproduction. The design includes a Low Negative-Feedback Design that enhances frequency response and minimizes reliance on feedback. Its Closed Ground-Loop Circuits contribute to reduced circuit noise, while the High Instantaneous-Current Capability (HICC) ensures the amplifier can handle sudden demands from speakers efficiently. A symmetrical twin-monaural construction minimizes playback errors by aligning the power devices for both channels uniformly. The M-5000R is equipped with two large toroidal transformers and four 27,000 microfarad capacitors to stabilize the power supply. The amplifier also features balanced XLR inputs for monaural amplification, gold-plated RCA inputs, and high-quality binding post speaker terminals. The design incorporates elements to minimize vibration, including separate aluminum panels and a circuit board construction that isolates components. Additionally, it has a 12V trigger for auto standby functionality.
