The Onkyo MD-2521 is a MiniDisc recorder that combines advanced recording technology with user-friendly features. Manufactured between 1999 and 2002, the device comes in black and a silver/aluminum finish. It has a compact design measuring 435 mm in width, 121 mm in height, and 310 mm in depth, with a weight of 4.5 kg. The power consumption is rated at 14 Watts. The MD-2521 offers a range of connectivity options including two optical inputs, a digital coaxial input, and an analogue input via stereo Cinch. Its outputs consist of four optical digital outputs, analogue stereo output, a 3.5 mm socket for the Onkyo RI system bus, and an adjustable headphone output. The device supports a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 105 dB and a frequency response from 10 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with data compression handled by the ATRAC format and a standard sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz.
