The Ortofon OM Broadcast E is a professional-grade moving magnet cartridge that excels in clarity and sound reproduction. Designed for applications such as sampling, transcription, and broadcasting, it delivers remarkable stereo imaging. The cartridge has a frequency range of 20 Hz to 22 kHz, with a frequency response that is consistent within ±2 dB across the 20 Hz to 20 kHz spectrum. Its output voltage at 1000 Hz at 5 cm/sec is 6 mV, which provides sufficient signal for various audio setups. The OM Broadcast E offers a dynamic compliance of 9 µm/mN and features an elliptical stylus with a tip radius of r/R 13/25 µm. Its tracking ability is rated at 80 µm at 315 Hz when using the recommended tracking force of 3 g (30 mN), which lies within a tracking force range of 2.0 to 4.0 g (20-40 mN). It boasts channel separation figures of 23 dB at 1 kHz and 15 dB at 15 kHz, as well as a channel balance of 2 dB at 1 kHz. The cartridge is built with an internal impedance of 750 Ohm and an internal inductance of 450 mH, making it compatible with standard setup parameters, which recommend a load resistance of 47 kOhm and load capacitance between 200-600 pF. The OM Broadcast E weighs 6.0 g and is colored in red, offering a stylish look in addition to its performance capabilities.
