The Ortofon Stylus CC MKII Elite is a premium moving-magnet cartridge designed for turntables, particularly compatible with S-shaped tonearms. It features a special-molded stylus body with genuine gold plating, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The stylus itself is a Nude Elliptical diamond, which is mounted on a rigid aluminum-magnesium cantilever. This combination allows for lower moving mass and improved sound quality, enabling the stylus to accurately follow groove oscillations and extract intricate details while tracking high-frequency information effectively. The cartridge is aimed at delivering lifelike sound reproduction with attention to avoiding excessive brightness. It is easy to set up and is designed to work optimally with models such as the Technics SL-1200.

Specifications include a frequency range of 20 - 20,000 Hz, an output voltage at 1000 Hz of 8.5 mV, and channel separation of 25 dB at 1 kHz. The tracking ability at 315 Hz is rated at 100μm, and it has dynamic lateral compliance of 13μm/mN. Recommended tracking force is between 2.0 - 4.0 g, with an optimal setting at 3.0 g. The internal impedance is 1.2 kOhm with a load capacitance recommendation of 150 - 400 pF. The cartridge weight, excluding screws, is 18.5 g.
