The Ortofon Concorde Cocoon is a limited edition cartridge designed for club use, introduced at the Frankfurt Music Trade Show in 2013. This cartridge features a striking design and is part of a special collaboration with Cocoon, with only 500 units produced. The Cocoon Twin Set includes two Concorde Nightclub MKII cartridges, both optimized for high-performance sound quality and frequent use in discotheques and clubs. Each set is presented in an elegant suede case with unique branding and a numbered certificate signed by the Ortofon CEO. The cartridge is equipped with a special elliptical stylus that can withstand heavy back-cueing, making it suitable for dynamic DJ environments. Key specifications include an output voltage of 8 mV at 1000 Hz, channel balance of 1.5 dB at 1 kHz, and frequency response ranging from 20 Hz to 20 kHz within +/- 1.5 dB. The design incorporates direct SME mounting for easy setup, and its internal parameters include a DC resistance of 1,000 Ohm and a recommended load resistance of 47 kOhm.
