The Pioneer HPM-700 is a 4-way loudspeaker system designed and manufactured by Pioneer between 1980 and 1982 in Japan. The cabinet features a walnut wood finish, contributing to its aesthetic appeal. The overall dimensions of the unit are 350 mm in width, 610 mm in height, and 321 mm in depth, with a weight of approximately 14.8 kg. It was originally priced around 275 US dollars and 700 Deutsche Mark. The HPM-700 is equipped with a four-driver configuration, consisting of a 250 mm carbon fiber cone for the bass, a 100 mm cone for the midrange, a 45 mm cone for midrange-tweeter, and a ribbon tweeter for high frequencies. This configuration enables a frequency response spanning from 35 Hz to 50 kHz. The speaker handles nominal power of 30 watts and can reach up to 60 watts of music power, with an efficiency rating of 92.5 dB/W/m and operates at an impedance of 8 Ohms. The transitional ranges of the drivers are set at 1200 Hz, 4000 Hz, and 12000 Hz, allowing for seamless integration across different frequencies.
