The Pioneer PD-5000 is a high-performance CD player from the Urushi series, produced between 1989 and 1992, designed and manufactured in Japan. It boasts a sophisticated structure and utilizes advanced technology for superior sound quality. With a 20-bit linear D/A converter and an 8-fold oversampling feature, it enhances audio precision and data density. The player achieves a sampling rate of 352.8 kHz, which optimizes sound clarity across a frequency response range of 2 Hz to 20 kHz. The device showcases specifications such as a dynamic range of 99 dB, a signal-to-noise ratio of 115 dB, and a minimal distortion factor of 0.0015%. The PD-5000 includes features like CD-R/CD-RW playback, digital output options (both optical and coaxial), and support for CD Text. It is designed with a Class-A FET isolation amplifier for its analog output stage and an isolated power supply that separates analog and digital circuits to reduce interference. The compact design measures 459 x 151 x 435 mm and weighs 15.2 kg, featuring a sturdy black finish with wooden sides. Additionally, the player is equipped with a remote control for convenience.
