The Sanyo SX-170 is a loudspeaker model produced by Sanyo between 1979 and 1981 in Japan. It features a robust three-way bass reflex construction, allowing for a wide frequency response from 45 Hz to 20,000 Hz, which makes it suitable for a range of audio applications. The loudspeaker utilizes a combination of a 200 mm cone for low frequencies, a 120 mm cone for midrange, and a 27 mm dome tweeter for high frequencies. With a nominal power handling of 30 watts and a music power handling capacity of 60 watts, the SX-170 has an efficiency rating of 87 dB/W/m. It operates at an impedance of 8 ohms, making it compatible with various audio systems. The removable front enhances its design flexibility. The dimensions of the speaker are 290 mm in width, 505 mm in height, and 210 mm in depth, while it weighs approximately 7 kg. The original price for a pair of these speakers was around 498 DM.
