The Sanyo System 233 is a complete audio system manufactured by Sanyo from 1980 to 1982 in Japan. It includes the Sanyo DCX-233 L receiver and the Sanyo RD-203 tape deck. The system is characterized by a silver finish and a straightforward design typical of consumer audio equipment from that era. The original price of the complete system was approximately 1,140 DM. The DCX-233 L receiver delivers a power output of 2x25W into 4 Ohms and 2x23W into 8 Ohms, providing a relaxed and balanced sound profile suitable for small to medium speakers that are easy to drive. The receiver features inputs for phono and tape, with a good phono stage that performs decently with most setups. However, it is not designed for high-resolution or power-hungry speakers.
