The Sony TA-E 2000 ESD is a versatile preamplifier and processor that was manufactured from 1993 to 1998 in Japan. The device includes a Digital Dynamic Compressor and Expander, along with 10 pre-programmed room simulations that can be customized through 10 memory slots. Volume adjustments can be controlled via an included remote. The integrated A/D and D/A converter supports high-quality audio conversion using a 1 Bit High Density Linear Converter System, and it offers a frequency response of 10 Hz to 20 kHz with minimal distortion (less than 0.004%). It supports Dolby ProLogic Surround and features a 5.1 output configuration. Connectivity options are extensive, including six A/V inputs, three A/V outputs, and various digital and analogue inputs/outputs, accommodating both modern and traditional audio equipment.
