The Sony TA-E 2000 ESD is a versatile preamplifier and processor that was manufactured from 1993 to 1998 in Japan. It features an array of advanced audio processing options, including DSP (Digital Signal Processing) for three distinct digital effects functions, and three separate 3-band digital parametric equalizers dedicated to front, center, and rear channels. The device includes a Digital Dynamic Compressor and Expander, along with 10 pre-programmed room simulations that can be customized through 10 memory slots. Volume adjustments can be controlled via an included remote. The integrated A/D and D/A converter supports high-quality audio conversion using a 1 Bit High Density Linear Converter System, and it offers a frequency response of 10 Hz to 20 kHz with minimal distortion (less than 0.004%). It supports Dolby ProLogic Surround and features a 5.1 output configuration.
