NHK Radio Service Consolidation: AM and FM Channels from March 30th

NHK is restructuring its radio channels from three (Radio 1, Radio 2, FM) to two: NHK AM and NHK FM.

The reorganization takes effect on March 30, 2026, aligning with the programming revision schedule.

NHK AM will focus on delivering urgent news and lifestyle information, while NHK FM emphasizes high-quality music and educational content.
