Audio Quad is designed for linking two devices using an XLR connection, which typically involves a cable with two signal conductors. One conductor is in phase with respect to the source signal, while the other is reversed in polarity. Additionally, at least one separate earth conductor is included. This configuration allows for effective cancellation of interference and noise through the process of subtracting the two signals.
