The MP 1000 E is an exceptional Multi Source Player that embodies an ingenious design philosophy. It artfully combines the classic music source of a CD with the adaptability to play digital music formats from a diverse range of sources. However, it is important to note that the MP 1000 E is not a computer. This device is a high-end audiophile CD player that also incorporates additional functionality designed to enable both its internal and external digital sources to utilize its superior converter.

The development of the MP 1000 E included creating a mainboard capable of processing five different digital sources with remarkable quality and zero jitter. This comprehensive setup features a newly designed Streaming Client (SCL), a network-enabled processor board with WLAN, LAN, and USB interfaces, a high-quality digital tuner, a high-end CD mechanism, and a Digital Connecting Board. The Digital Connecting Board is equipped with five premium digital SP/DIF inputs, a computer USB input, and an aptX® Bluetooth module.

These features enable the MP 1000 E to access virtually any source of music. Users can enjoy music from Internet radio via the Airable Internet Radio Service, UPnP network music servers, USB memory media, FM, FM-HD, and DAB+ radio, CDs, and from computers or laptops using the SP/DIF inputs. Additionally, high-definition Bluetooth streaming from mobile devices is executed at an exceptional quality. The USB Device Mode input is specially designed for streaming music files from a computer at an extraordinarily high quality, supporting data rates up to 32-bit / 384 kHz for PCM and DSD 256 (12 MHz).

At the heart of the MP 1000 E lies a double-mono differential converter (DAC) paired with audiophile high-bandwidth analogue output stages. It also features an advanced clock resynchronisation circuit to eliminate jitter and external interferences. This unique combination is what contributes to the MP 1000 E’s remarkably natural and lively “analogue sound,” setting it apart from many other digital players.

For added functionality, an optional VVM pre-amplifier module can be integrated into the MP 1000 E to offer volume control. This might be particularly useful if there is a need to use the device with active loudspeakers.
