One of the standout features of the MP 3100 HV is its new integral disc mechanism, an SACD drive equipped with the latest decoder. This mechanism can read both CD (PCM 44.1 kSps) and SACD (DSD 64 2.8 MHz) discs at the highest possible quality, offering a superior listening experience. Additionally, the player benefits from a highly sophisticated digital signal processing system. PCM data is converted using a double differential quadruple converter, while DSD data is handled by a unique analogue true 1-bit DSD converter, stemming from the PDP 3000 HV. This unique processing approach enables the MP 3100 HV to reproduce DSD data up to DSD 512 via the USB input, ensuring the highest level of audio fidelity.
The MP 3100 HV also features an advanced streaming client, the T+A high-res streaming board. This component provides maximum resolution and offers access to various music services, Internet radio, and inclusion in the home network through LAN and WLAN. Additionally, it supports USB Master Mode and HD streaming from network servers, ensuring versatile high-quality streaming options.
The inclusion of a tuner that offers FM, FM-HD, and DAB+ capability further enhances its feature set, delivering excellent sound quality from radio broadcasts.
