The Technics SE-A800S MK2 is a stereo analog power amplifier that was manufactured during the years 1998-1999 and again in a limited edition from 2006 to 2007 in Osaka, Japan. This model is presented in a classic Technics-black finish and features a robust construction weighing 8.7 kg. With dimensions of 430 mm in width, 136 mm in height, and 348 mm in depth, it is designed to fit comfortably in various audio setups. The original price of the amplifier was approximately 900 DM or 3000 € during its limited edition release. It includes multiple connectivity options, with two RCA inputs and outputs for speaker connections, allowing for a pair of speakers with impedances of 4 to 16 Ohms for speaker pair A and 8 to 16 Ohms for speaker pair B if both pairs are utilized. Additionally, it features a 6.3mm jack stereo output for headphones. In terms of performance, the amplifier delivers continuous power of 55 watts per channel at 8 Ohms, and up to 100 watts per channel at 4 Ohms, with a total harmonic distortion of only 0.01%, ensuring high-fidelity sound reproduction. The frequency response ranges from 5Hz to 70kHz (+0.-3dB) and maintains a minimal deviation of +0.-0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. The signal-to-noise ratio is specified at 110 dB according to the IHF'66 standard, while stereo channel separation is an impressive 95 dB.
