JBL Introduces the Advanced Bar MK2 Series Soundbars with Dolby Atmos Capabilities

Four additional models span various performance and pricing tiers, all available starting June 2025. The Bar 1000MK2 delivers 7.1.4-channel surround sound with a 10-inch wireless subwoofer and detachable rear speakers. It supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X 3D audio, and is elevated by PureVoice 2.0 for enhanced dialogue clarity, while MultiBeam 3.0 enables immersive soundscapes. This model carries a price tag of $1,199.

Stepping down slightly, the Bar 700MK2 offers a 7.1-channel setup with a 10-inch subwoofer and 780W output. While it supports virtual Dolby Atmos, it features a more accessible price point of $899. The Bar 500MK2, with its 5.1-channel configuration, 750W power, and single 10-inch subwoofer, does not offer true Dolby Atmos nor detachable speakers but aims to balance sound quality and simplicity at $649. Lastly, the entry-level Bar 300MK2 is structured as a 5.0-channel soundbar with 450W power output, lacking a subwoofer or modular components, making it the most affordable choice at $449.

All models in the Bar MK2 lineup come equipped with extensive connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Roon Ready support. Users can harness the JBL One app for streamlined device management, EQ customization, and playlist control. Another highlight is MultiBeam 3.0 technology, which expands the soundstage without requiring additional external speakers. Enhanced dialogue clarity is another focus of the series, achieved through PureVoice 2.0 technology.
