WiiM Unveils the Amp Ultra at the High End Show 2025

WiiM has unveiled its latest network integrated amplifier, the WiiM Amp Ultra, at the High End Show 2025 in Munich. Building upon the success of the WiiM Amp Pro and the WiiM Ultra, the Amp Ultra features a sleek aluminum chassis and a 3.5-inch touch screen interface. Despite its compact dimensions of 200 × 75 × 200 mm, the amplifier delivers impressive power outputs of 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel at 4 ohms, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of speaker systems. At the heart of the WiiM Amp Ultra lies the high-fidelity ES9039Q2M Sabre DAC from ESS Technology, capable of decoding PCM streams up to 32-bit/384kHz. The analog section is powered by Texas Instruments' TPA3255 Class-D amplifiers and six OPA1612 operational amplifiers, facilitating ultra-low distortion and rich, detailed sound quality. The proprietary feedback technology ensures stable performance across various speaker types, maintaining a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB at 5 watts. The front panel's touch screen provides comprehensive control over playback, input selection, equalizer settings, and access to internet radio and streaming services. Additionally, a multifunctional rotary knob allows users to navigate through 24 EQ presets, a 10-band graphic and parametric equalizer, and a built-in room correction system tailored to the acoustics of the listening environment. Connectivity options are robust, featuring Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, HDMI ARC, and support for Dolby Digital, making the Amp Ultra suitable for both high-fidelity audio setups and home theater configurations. Wireless streaming is streamlined with compatibility for Google Cast, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect, all accessible via the WiiM Home App. Voice control integration with Alexa, Google Assistant, and the WiiM Voice Remote adds to the user-friendly experience. The Amp Ultra also seamlessly integrates with other WiiM ecosystem products, such as the WiiM Sound smart speakers and WiiM streamers, offering a cohesive and expandable audio solution. Scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2025, the WiiM Amp Ultra is poised to meet the demands of discerning audiophiles seeking enhanced performance, connectivity, and versatility in their audio equipment.
