Acoustic Signature was founded in 1996 by Gunther Frohnhöfer in Süssen (district of Göppingen, Baden-Württemberg), Germany, near Stuttgart. The company achieved worldwide prestige as early as 1997 with their first mass-produced turntable receiving excellent test results in both Germany and the US. Currently led by CEOs Gunther and Jacqueline Frohnhöfer with a team of 28 experienced employees, the company specializes in manufacturing high-end analog turntables, tonearms, phono equalizers, and cartridges using 100% manual work at their German facility located at Hillenbrand Strasse 10, D-73079 Süssen. They utilize cutting-edge CNC machines and CAD/CAM systems, developing proprietary technologies like DTD® Dura Turn Diamond® Bearing.
