Acoustic Solid

Acoustic Solid is a German high-end turntable manufacturer founded in 1996 by Karl Wirth, a mechanical engineer and former automotive production manager. Originally starting as a garage-based hobby in his parents' home, Wirth created his first turntable called "Solid One" out of frustration with limited vinyl playback options. The company was officially established in 1997, moving to a dedicated facility in Altdorf, Baden-Württemberg by 2001, with international expansion beginning in 2002. Today, Acoustic Solid (operating as Wirth Tonmaschinenbau GmbH) is a family-run business with six employees, including founder Karl Wirth and his daughter Michaela Ferreni, who handles accounting and international customer communications. The company has achieved global recognition, winning awards including "Product of the Year 2007" in Hong Kong, and now exports handmade precision turntables to over 40 countries. Their product lines include Aluminum, Classic, Vintage, and Custom turntables, all manufactured in-house with emphasis on precision engineering and analog sound quality.
