Founded in 1992 by Siegfried Loch, ACT Music is one of Europe's leading independent jazz record labels, based in Munich and Berlin, Germany. Originally part of ACT Music + Vision (established 1988), the label transformed from pop to jazz, becoming a major force in European jazz music. Under Loch's leadership for 30 years, ACT was voted Label of the Year in the German Echo Jazz poll four times consecutively (2010-2013). Since 2015, Andreas Brandis has managed operations, becoming full partner in 2022. The label represents world-renowned artists including Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Nils Landgren, Michael Wollny, and Viktoria Tolstoy. ACT's philosophy centers on finding artists who inspire minds, reach hearts, and touch souls with lasting impact. Recently expanding into classical music (2024), the label maintains its core mission of bridging musical genres and cultures while promoting artistic excellence across Europe and beyond.
