Alpage was a domestic Japanese hi-fi audio brand owned by Alpine Electronics, active primarily from 1979-1983. The brand specialized in high-end stereo cassette tape decks manufactured in Tokyo, Japan, including flagship models like the AL-300 which was consistently rated as top-of-the-line by audio magazines. Alpage was used as Alpine Electronics' home audio brand while Alpine focused on car audio systems. The brand became defunct around 1983 when Alpine Electronics consolidated its branding, and in 2020 Alpine Electronics was fully merged into Alps Alpine Co., Ltd., ending any connection to the historical Alpage brand name.
