Perhaps the signature drink of the great America Jazz Age, the Sidecar is a double-feature of two exceptional French products: Cognac (brandy) and Cointreau. With a sugared rim, it’s a sure hit. And it’s a swanky accompaniment to this uplifting, jazzy masterpiece. Prepare a glass by wetting the rim and dipping it in the sugar. Shake ingredients with the ice and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with an orange peel. With this incredible classic, we pay homage to the Beatles’ meeting with the Maharishi in London in 1967. The band then famously traveled to visit the guru in India in ‘68. The first global cocktail, it is a suitably sunny and whimsical drink.
