Founded in 1988 by Tom Willis in Nottingham, England, Art Audio produces world-class hi-fi equipment specializing in valve/tube amplifiers, preamplifiers, and phono stages. Prior to founding Art Audio, Tom Willis was recognized as one of the UK's top valve designers, providing consulting services to well-known valve manufacturers across the UK and Europe. The company is known for its unique split-core output transformer design and hand-built approach. Following Tom Willis's passing in 2003, the business was handed to his daughters Julie and Beverley, and son-in-law Stephen.
