Ascendo Immersive Audio GmbH (AIA) was originally founded in 1999 by three music enthusiasts: Norbert Heinz, Stefan Köpf, and Jürgen Scheuring in Stuttgart, Germany. The company evolved when Geoffrey Heinzel joined to establish Ascendo Immersive Audio GmbH, bringing specialized expertise in infrasonic bass technology. Today, headed by graduate economist Stefan Köpf (Managing Director) and Geoffrey Heinzel (Co-Managing Partner), the company is headquartered in Heilsbronn, Bavaria, with manufacturing facilities in Ansbach. AIA specializes in state-of-the-art home theater systems, high-performance cinema speakers, subwoofers, and immersive audio technology. The company produces handcrafted loudspeakers in small batches and has received international recognition with awards from Audio Art Taiwan and HiFi Review Hong Kong. Their products include advanced DSP-controlled, digitally networked speaker systems supporting Dolby Atmos, Auro 3D, DTS:X, and NHK 22.2 standards.
